Our consultants provide counselling services for South Birmingham and are trained in a wide range of therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), humanistic and integrative psychotherapies and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR). Who will I see?
Great care is taken in ensuring that each client is allocated a therapist suitable to their needs. We aim to do this as efficiently as possible. The practice manager, based on current available consultants and in consultation with senior members of the team, will identify which consultant is best suited to deal with the presenting issues.
How long does therapy last?
The length of treatment will invariably vary from person to person and the severity of their difficulties.
How much does it cost?
Individual Counselling costs for clients in South Birmingham vary from £30 with a trainee up to £75 per session with a psychologist. Couple counselling costs £95 for an initial session (90 minutes) and then £70 per subsequent session.
How long does a counselling session last?
Therapy and counselling sessions last 50-55 minutes and are generally held on a weekly basis. Weekly attendance is recommended whenever possible for therapy to progress.
Is there a cancellation fee?
Our South Birmingham clients are expected to give 24 hours notice of a cancelled appointment. If not then there may be a charge for missed or cancelled sessions.
How quickly can I be seen?
An appointment date and time will be set within 48 hours of your initial enquiry with an appropriate therapist.
