Workplace Counselling Skills (1 day)

Managers and Human Resources executives are increasingly being asked to deal with employees experiencing emotional upset but often without the training needed to handle these sensitive situations. Sometimes people need help because they are under stress, bereaved or experiencing personal or work related problems. The role of counselling in the workplace is increasingly recognised as providing the essential support to help employees face challenges and continue to work effectively.

Who should attend?

This course is ideally suited for Managers, supervisors and human resource professionals who are required to deal with employees on a one-to-one basis regarding sensitive issues affecting their motivation and performance. Counselling skills can also be used for return to work interviews, giving and receiving feedback, supervision, appraisals, dealing with poor performance  and identification of training and personal development needs
